Vineyard
Situated in Central Hawke's Bay, half hour south of Hastings. The warm, north-facing limestone slopes are from an altitude of 230 to 270 metres above sea level. The elevation gives cooler nights with longer ripening and therefore more pronounced flavours. Vines are hand pruned, yields are low. We aim to produce fruit with flavours that reflect the site. All fruit is hand picked. We pay attention to detail.

2008 Sauvignon Blanc
Near dry, has the scent of pink and white petals and abounds with capsicum, lime, lemongrass, nettles, coriander and gooseberry aromas. There is a sweet, earthy undercurrent and underlying rock melon flavours. A zesty wine, long in its finish.
Alcohol 13.0 %

Food Matches: Paua sliced thinly, grilled quickly on the Barbecue, with red onion, garlic, freshly squeezed lime juice and LIME ROCK Sauvignon Blanc tossed on.

2008 Pinot Gris
Beautifully balanced, dry style. Wine is perfumed like blossom without being sweet, and has a surprisingly fresh palate with pear, ginger and spice. The flavour works in tandem with the acid. Minerality, similar to oyster shells or rain on hot concrete pervades.
Alcohol 13.5%

Food Match: Ideal match with seafood, chicken and Asian food.
Try with Mini tarts of caramelised red onion and mild goat's cheese, as a starter.
