LIME ROCK is a small family-owned vineyard on the north-facing limestone hills of Central Hawke's Bay, 40km south-west of Hastings . Elegance, balance and length are a feature of the wines while the limestone contributes to the sought after mineral characteristics. Rodger's ecological philosophy and Rosie's long involvement with the wine industry are some of the keys to the success LIME ROCK wines. The vineyard and cellar door are 6km west of Waipawa (SH2) and a short drive from Tikokino (SH50). Stunning views over the Ruataniwha Plains to the Ruahine Ranges can be seen from the vineyard and giant fossil oyster shells, found in the limestone, can be viewed while tasting. Try our wines and be some the first to experience this promising new wine growing region. Cellar door is open on summer weekends, 11am - 4pm, November to end of February.
